Student Athletes, Coaches, Parents and Fans,

I have been patiently optimistic that there may be some way to salvage what was left of our IHSAA athletic & activity seasons. As you are all aware, Blaine County School District buildings will remain closed through the rest of this school year and all instruction will be delivered through our distance learning program. With this soft-closure that will last throughout the remainder of the school year it is the unfortunate reality that our athletic and activity seasons have indeed come to an end. I sympathize with our coaches and our student athletes; especially for the seniors who were denied their last chances to represent the Wood River Wolverines. Along those lines, please remember that this Friday night we will be turning on the stadium lights at Phil Homer Field at 8:20 PM (that's very intentionally 20:20 military time for you seniors:).

2. If you choose to drive by your school on a public city street or highway, that is your decision. However, please do not stop and gather.
