The WR MTB Team participated in the National Interscholastic Cycling Association Idaho State Championships this weekend. Twenty-seven schools participated with just over 900 riders racing the four-mile course at Bogus Basin. WR went undefeated this season and crushed the competition at State, bringing home the title of Idaho State Champions (for the fifth time). Our riders suffered during the climbs and pinned the descents. We had many top ten riders: JV2 rider Claire Shiver placed 1oth, Hudson Emery took 8th in freshman, Wyatt Dunn had a tough race and placed 9th in JV1, Molly Maybach (her first year riding) earned a respectable 6th in JV1, Eloise Pendl-Hebert placed 10th in Varsity, Zach Quesnel podiumed in 5th with JV1, Lila Hess pinned all three laps in varsity and took 9th, while Mazzy Conners placed 3rd in JV1. Oliver Smith held his own until the final lap and placed 4th in varsity. Page DeHart had an impressive 3rd place finish in varsity while Ruby Smith took 2nd in varsity. On Saturday, the boys varsity soccer team traveled to Hillcrest for a contest that they tied 2-2. The boys will play at home tomorrow, 10/4, against Canyon Ridge.

On Saturday, the Wood River girls varsity soccer team tied 2-2 against Hillcrest. The girls will be traveling to Canyon Ridge to take on the Riverhawks tomorrow, 10/4.
